Vocabulary

Hemisphere (n): 1- a half of the earth, usually as divided into northern and southern halves by the Equator, or into western and eastern halves by the Prime Meridien.
E.g.: Winter starts on the 21st of December in the Northern Hemisphere.

Equator (n): 1- a line notionally drawn on the earth equidistant from the poles, dividing the earth into northern and southern hemispheres and constituting the parallel of latitude 0°.
E.g.: Seasons are different depending on which side of the Equator a place is.

Sphere (n): 1- a round solid figure, or its surface, with every point on its surface equidistant from its centre.
E.g.: All points on a sphere are the same distance from the center.

Notable (adj): 1- worthy of attention or notice; remarkable.
E.g.: The gardens are notable for their collection of magnolias and camellias
