Vocabulary

Interview (n): 1- a conversation in which someone asks you lots of questions.  2- é¢è¯•
E.g.: Iris will have an interview at an international school this weekend.

Tiny (adj): 1- very small.
E.g.: We ate a tiny tangerine today.

Improve (v): 1- to make something better
E.g.: I want to improve my English.

Foreign (adj): 1- coming from a different place or country
E.g.: I have many foreign friends.

Interview Questions:

Q: Can you please introduce yourself?
A: My name is Iris and I’m eleven years old. I was born in Los Angeles, California, but i moved to Hangzhou when I was one year old. I moved to Shanghai four years ago. My hobbies are playing volleyball, swimming and dancing ballet. My dream is do become a doctor and to travel the world when I grow up.

Q: What are your favorite subjects in school and why?
A: My favorite subjects are English and PE. I really want to improve my English so I can make foreign friends and I love playing volleyball and swimming, so PE is also really fun!

Q: Why do you want to study at this school?
A: I think this is a good choice for me because this is a really good and big school. Here I will have great foreign teachers, so I’ll be able to get better in English and to also improve in other subjects.
