Open F2F Class notes 4th July (Eddie)

What are you going to do? = What can you do? (There is nothing we can do).

How many times do I have to ask you to  do this?

Who knows?

Who cares?

What were you thinking?

Rhetorical questions = questions we do not expect an answer to. Their purpose is not to obtain information, but rather to express states such as frustration, joy, anger etc.

to frustrate = to interfere with the completion of a goal

Slow internet can be very frustrating.
Working from home can be frustrating sometimes.

to interfere with = to interrupt, to change, to disturb, to alter, to modify, to intervene
interference =

E.g. I want to go camping this weekend. I hope the weather doesn’t interfere with my plans.
