bony / boney – sb who is too thin so their bones stick out

shriveled (adj) / shrink / shrivel (v) – to get smaller

huddle (v) – to sit and hug yourself or each other to keep warm or comfortable
eg. they huddle by the fire to keep warm

delicate – soft and weak (a lovely feeling)
