so the people who take big powers now can be powers forever – so the people who take charge will be in power forever

sink to (someone’s ) level – to say the same kind of negative things or do negative things like bad people do

eg: Don’t sink to his level, just try to ignore it.

blood doping – putting healthy blood into your blood to make your body stronger

eg: Many athletes got caught blood doping.

eg: Lance Armstrong got in trouble for blood doping

consciousness – your mind

eg: Some scientists believe we will be able to store our consciousness on a computer.

Altered Carbon – a Tv show, where rich people can live forever, with new bodies, and most other people can not afford good ones.

Ray Kurzweil – a real scientist who believes that in the future we will all live forever.

they have the right and power to deprive ordinary people’s right of living – they have the resources and power to deprive ordinary people’s right to live
