I think in my company, the big different from two positions are who is the stakeholder, I mean who is your customers. the CMB position, you calculate the data, analyze the report, design some salary structures. But at HRBP, you focus on the person, and the stakeholder is the operation team. You need to communicate with them to find the solution to end. So I think it’s the biggest different.

I think in my company, the biggest difference between the two positions is who we are providing service for. For the C and B position, my main responsibilities would be to calculate data, analyze reports, and design salary structures. But as an HRBP, I focused more on the employees, and the stakeholder is the operation team. I needed to communicate with them to find the solution together. So I think it’s the biggest difference.

I think the biggest challenge is I need to do more analyze, because these four years, I work as HRBP. Maybe I need to spend more time to design the salary structure, because I don’t have much experience these years. But I think I can do it, because as HRBP, we also need to design the small engage plan. Like we have done the summer time engage plan. I mean we did the plan to engage the employee to give more work time to be our part-time in our shops. Then we can get enough employees to survey our customers to do the product. We design some engage plan.

I think the biggest challenge is that as C and B, I would need to do more analysis. I might need to spend more time to design the salary structure because in these four years as HRBP, I didn’t have much experience in this area. But I’m confident that I can accomplish this, because as HRBP, I also needed to design the small engage plans. For example, in my previous work, I have designed a summer time engagement plan, which is a plan that incentivized the part-time employees to work more hours. Through this plan, we were able to get enough employees to meet the requirements.
