If your friend asks – you can be honest

If your boss/ a professional asks – lie… “I’m fine, thank you, and you?”

 

How was your day?

  • It was a busy day/ It is a busy day.
  • It was a good day.
  • It was okay

 

How is your day going?  = is your day going okay?

  • It’s going okay
  • It’s been a good day
  • So far so good = the day is going well up to this point, nothing bad has happened yet.

“So Far”:  up until this point.

Ex:  So far today I have done 3 tasks.   = already today I have done 3 things.

Ex:  My day so far has been great.  = the part of the day that has happened has been great.  (past)

Ex:  I like to read news about celebrities.

Ex:  I like to listen to music by celebrities.

Ex:  This song is by Mariah Carey = sung by her, it’s her song.

Ex:  This painting is by Van Gogh.

Ex:  This song is about love.  = the story of the song is love.

Popular Music/ Pop music:  music that is on the radio because it is famous.  Fast and fun music.

The baby is done – the baby came out/ she gave birth to the baby

 

Army:  a group of men/women from each country that train to protect their country—or maybe go to war.
