TED is a platform for ideas worth spreading. Started in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design converged, TED today shares ideas from science to business to global issues in more than 100 languages.
Meanwhile, independent TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.
Last Saturday, TEDxShanghai has held in the grand conference hall in Shanghai Tower which is the highest building in shanghai nowadays. The organizers invited almost 20 KOL -Key Opinion leaders who have the achievements in their industries to share their ideas to the audience. There has been almost 2000 people attended the TEDxShanghai conference in that day to listen the speeches for the speakers. In my opinion, the most impressive speaker is wangshu, he is a architect professor teaches in china fine art institute in Hangzhou, and he is the winner of Pritzker Architecture Prize. He told us his rebuild projects with his students for the countryside of Hangzhou province. They tried their best efforts to retained the traditional houses and reform them to better living. It was really touching in every one in the site.
