Vocabulary

Recession – when the world economy is in crisis and drops very low. (e.g. The 2008 recession caused millions of people to lose their jobs, savings and government pensions.)

Filthy – When something is very dirty (e.g. My bathroom looks filthy because my Ayi is currently on holiday.)

Blurry – when something is unclear/ you can’t see clearly. (e.g. After my car accident my vision was blurry.)

Stabbing – a sharp and quick action or feeling (e.g. “I think I need to go to the hospital, I have a stabbing pain in my back.)

Blackened – to make something black (e.g. After the fire all of the bricks in my kitchen were blackened.)

Powered – when you get more power (精力)(e.g.

Stir – to mix something (e.g. In order to make the best cup cakes, you need to stir the mixture a lot.)
