Vocabulary

Hospitality (n): 1- the act of being friendly and welcoming to guests and visitors. 2- the food, drink, etc. that an organization provides in order to keep its guests or business partners happy. 3- the industry that includes hostels, hotels and related.
E.g.: The local people showed me great hospitality. ​
E.g.: The company’s guests are entertained in the corporate hospitality area.
E.g.: He’s been working in the hospitality industry for many years.

Effect (n): 1- the result of a particular influence.
E.g.: I think I’m suffering from the effects of too little sleep.

Affect (v): 1- to have an influence on someone or something, or to cause a change in someone or something.
E.g.: 
Both buildings were badly affected by the fire.

Request (n/v): 1- the act of politely or officially asking for something.
E.g.: 
They received hundreds of requests for more information.

Requirement (n): 1- something that you must do, or something you need.
E.g.: 
A good degree is a minimum requirement for many jobs.

Stance (n): 1- a way of thinking about something, especially expressed in a publicly stated opinion.
E.g.: 
The doctor’s stance on the issue of abortion is well known.
