Vocabulary 词汇

Object – thing

Ex. A noun is either a person, place, or object.

Alive – having life

Ex. People, plants, and animals are all alive.

Microwave – a small oven that heats food, 微波

Ex. It is quicker to use a microwave instead of an oven.

Natural – found in nature, not man-made, 自然

Ex. It is healthier to eat natural food instead of food that comes from factories.
Decoration – something displayed because it looks nice

Ex. The family put many Christmas decorations around the house.

Narrow – skinny, not wide. Normally used for objects.

Ex. Scarves are narrow pieces of cloth.

Grammar 语法

“Besides” means 除了。。。以外都

Ex. Besides my English, I don’t like my other classes. (除了我的英语课以外我都不喜欢)

“In addition to” mean 除了。。。以外

Ex. In addition to red, I also like blue. (除了红色以外，我还喜欢蓝色)
