Grammar 语法

The word “the” implies that there is only one of something.

Ex. Do you have the piece of paper I gave you yesterday?

The word “a” or no article at all implies an abstract noun.

Ex. Do you paper? Or Do you have a sheet of paper?

Pronouns (he, she, they) stand in for proper nouns. A proper noun is specific, for example: Peter (he), Lex (he), Peter, Judy and Lex (they).

To add an element of surprise, the word “even” can be added before the surprising phrase.

Ex. Everyone hates English, even I hate English. (Really, you hate English?)

Ex. People look at their phones even while walking. (Really, while walking?)

Expressions 成语

The difference between “network” and “internet” is that the word “network” is more related to connection. For example, we can talk about Wi-fi networks, or professional networks (关系). The word “internet” is more abstract and closer to the meaning of 网络.

The phrase 很难离开 can be translated as “can’t go without.”

Ex. I can’t go without my phone.

The expression “here to stay” means “will not leave soon.”

Ex. If someone is worried that you will leave them, you can tell them “don’t worry, I’m here to stay.”

The phrase “hard to miss” means “very easy to see, very difficult to not notice.”

Ex. You’ll see the Jing’an Temple on your left, it’s hard to miss.

The phrase “to make things worse” can be added before a piece of bad information in an already bad situation, 更糟.

Ex. I’m sick, and to make things worse, today’s pollution is really dangerous.

Original:

Network has already joined in our life and we are hardly to leave it. People need Wi-Fi and network when they stay at home, because some people have to receive some messages or just scan some websites in order to spend their free time. Even I have found that they can watch TV shows since subway had (the) Wi-Fi. If they had Wi-Fi, they seemed to forget crowd carriages in rash hour.

Edited:

The Internet is here to stay. People often use the internet at home, either because they need to be reachable or they simply enjoy surfing the web. Since the subway has Wi-fi, people can watch TV shows even on their way to work. It seems that if people have Wi-fi, they don’t notice the rush-hour crowds as much.
