Native (n): 1- born in a particular place — used to refer to the place where a person was born and raised.
E.g.: He is a native American.

Native Speaker (n): 1- a person who learned to speak the language of the place where he or she was born as a child rather than learning it as a foreign language
E.g.: She is a native English speaker, but she can also speak French and Mandarin.

Lately (adv): 1- in the recent period of time, in the last few days / weeks / months, etc.
E.g.: Lately, she has been very worried about her son

Redundant (adj): 1- unnecessary repetition in expressing ideas. 2- something that was said before and doesn’t need to be said again.
E.g.: Try not to be redundant when you’re writing

Compare (v): 1- to look at two or more things closely in order to see what is similar or different about them or in order to decide which one is better
E.g.: I compared several bicycles before buying one.

Mandarin (n): 普通话
E.g.: My native language is Mandarin.
