Tend (v): 1- regularly or frequently behave in a particular way or have a certain characteristic.
E.g.: People who live in big cities tend to be more open-minded than people from smaller towns.

Tendency (n): a quality that makes something likely to happen or that makes someone likely to think or behave in a particular way.
E.g.: People who live in big cities have the tendency to be more open-minded than people from smaller towns.
