Vocabulary

Indeed (adv): 1- really or certainly, often used to emphasize something.
E.g.: Indeed, it could be the worst environmental disaster in Europe this century.

Closet (n): 1- a cupboard or a small room with a door, used for storing things, especially clothes.
E.g.: I need to clean out my closet.

Reserved (adj): 1- Reserved people do not often talk about or show their personal feelings or thoughts.
E.g.: The English have a reputation for being reserved.

Reserve (v): 1- to keep something for a particular purpose or time. 2- If you reserve something such as a seat on an aircraft or a table at a restaurant, you arrange for it to be kept for your use.
E.g.: I reserve Mondays for tidying my desk and answering letters.
E.g.: I reserved a double room at the Lamb Hotel.

Spectrum (n): 1- a range of different positions, opinions, etc. between two extreme points.
E.g.: He has support from across the whole political spectrum.

Extrovert (n): 1- an energetic happy person who enjoys being with other people.
E.g.: Most sales people are extroverts.

Introvert (n): 1- someone who is shy, quiet, and unable to make friends easily.
E.g.: As an introvert, it wasn’t easy for him to make friends.

Small talk (n): 1- conversation about things that are not important, often between people who do not know each other well.
E.g.: I don’t enjoy parties where I have to make small talk with complete strangers.

Drained (adj): 1- very tired.
E.g.: You look completely drained – why don’t you go to bed?

Hang out (v): 1- to spend a lot of time in a place or with someone:
E.g.: On weekends I usually hang out with my friends.

Soft-spoken (adj): 1- having a quiet, pleasant voice.
E.g.: He’s a very shy, soft-spoken person.
