Vocabulary

Safari – a type of conservation site (zoo) where the animals have a large area to run around in. (e.g. A few months ago a visitor on safari got out of their car and was attacked by a tiger.)

Innocent – when someone does nothing illegal (e.g. People should be treated innocent until proven guilty.)

Guilty – when someone does something illegal (e.g. The man was proven guilty when he went to court.)

Plead – to say if you are innocent or guilty in court. (e.g. The women pleaded not-guilty but unfortunately for her the evidence proved that she was in fact guilty.)

Lets look at shop A and shop B. You can see that they both have the same commercial margins, however, the P&Ls are not the same because profits for shop A are higher compared to shop B.

For Jan 2017, the Net sales were 73,248,000, which was 77.8% (percent) lower than the target. This resulted in a difference/loss of 256,188,000.
