Vocabulary

brand – the name of the company

eg: “There are too many brands, I can’t remember them all.”

mermaid – half person, half fish

eg: “Penny is wearing a mermaid dress today.”

sleeveless – does not have sleeves

eg:”Summer dresses have short sleeve.” “Spring dresses have long sleeves.” “Lots of summer dresses are sleeveless.”

print – a kind of pattern on clothing, it is printed on the material.

eg: “This dress is available in 4 prints.”

chic – attractive, fashionable, stylish

eg: “That is a very chic dress.”

not busy at all – not even a little busy

eg: “Today i wasn’t busy at all, so I just ate snacks all day. Now it’s dinner time, but I’m not hungry at all.”

Grammar

“My shirt does not have sleeves.” “My shirt has sleeves.”

“My shirt is sleeveless.” “My shirt is sleeved.”  (very uncommon)

go to + a place – go to the store, go to class, go to work, go to school

go + do something(verb) – go shopping, go swimming, go jogging
