F2F Class Notes 15th July (Harmony)

I analysis the situation for the hiring manager for his decision making – I analyzed the situation for the hiring manager to help his decision making.

expectation (ex – peck – tay – shun)
“capped out”: to reach the highest payment for your current position. You can’t make anymore money in that position/job title.
eg. He is capped out in that position. = he cannot get more money in that position.

Original:
According Tony’s current actual total package is 755900 RMB/Y and his expectation is beteewn 20%-30% increase, that is say his expectation is the total income above 904670.

Depend on this situation ,there are 4 situations for your reference.

1. Our current JE result is 07B, the Max annual income is 574479 which is below his current package (755900 RMB/Y )tremendously.
2. If we upgrade the JE result to 07D,that is still manager title: The Max of 07D is:796135 RMB/Y, that is 5% increase compare to his currently package. I am sure if the candidate will accept our offer.

If we upgrade the position to the senior position, there are 2 choices 09A and 09B:

3. For 09A,the max package is 904670 RMB/Y , increase is 20% which match Tony’s expectation but he can not get the salary increase until he move to next higher position.
4. For 09B, f we offer him 904670 RMB/Y is the CR 106% which is totally meet his expectation.

For situation no.2.3.4, we need update the JD and HR TR will re-eveluate the position give your suitable feedback which salary range we can do again.For further information you can contact Cindy Zhu.

Due to this situation ,I have listed/given 4 scenarios for your reference:

1. Our current JE result is 07B, the max annual income is 574,479 RMB/Y which is tremendously below his current package (755,900 RMB/Y ).
2. If we upgrade the JE result to 07D (which is still a manager title) the max is: 796,135 RMB/Y, that is a 5% increase compared to his currently package. I am not sure if the candidate will accept our offer.
If we upgrade this position to a senior management title, there are 2 choices 09A and 09B:

3. For 09A, the max is 904,670 RMB/Y ,which is an increase of 20% which matches Tony’s expectation but he can not get a salary increase until he moves to a higher position. (he would be capped out in that position).
4. For 09B, if we offer him 904,670 RMB/Y, which is 6% above the CR, this will totally meet his expectation.

For situation numbers 2-4, we would need to update the JD and the HR TR colleagues would need to re-eveluate and give feedback on which salary range the position can apply for. Unfortunately we cannot control the result.
