Vocabulary

lag – to fall behind or go too slow

eg: My computer is lagging.

eg: iphones always lag after an update.

make – to force you to do sth.

eg: Apple said, they are not trying to (force/make) you to buy a new phone.

eg: They are trying to make me get off the plane, I don’t know why.

eg: I made my daughter wear a coat to keep warm, but she refused.

let – to allow you to do sth.

eg: Apple will let you trade your black phone for a white phone, if you want.

eg: Thanks for letting me put my bag in the cabinet.

eg: Tony let me put my bag in the cabinet.

eg: I let my daughter do more exercise because it’s good for her health.

plateau V.   N. – 1. (V.) to go up, then become flat on the top. 2. (N.) a mountain with a flat top

eg: The technology will plateau soon.

eg: We don’t know why sales are not going up anymore, they plateaued around January.

growth N.

eg: They can have growth for about 30 years, then a company’s growth will plateau.

milking it – like, milking a cow, get milk from a cow, taking too much milk from the cow

eg: Apple is really milking their new iphones. It seems like there is anew phone every 6 months.

eg: She is really milking it with her cold, she is not that sick. I told her to stop milking it and just go to school.

obsolete – too old to use

eg: iphone 2 is obsolete now, you can’t use any cellular data.

Ryan Air – a cheap European airline company

eg: You could get Ryan Air tickets for about 10 Euro, but that was a few years ago.
