Vocabulary

Pamper- When you treat yourself to a relaxing or luxurious experience.

e.g. I had a very stressful week last week so I decided to pamper myself and get a massage.

Can I bother you for a second?/Can I interrupt for a moment/second

Manicure- When you get a treatment for your nails and hands.

e.g. I had a manicure yesterday and chose purple as the nail color.

Pedicure- When you get a treatment for your feet, and remove the dead skin.

e.g. I had a pedicure because my feet were disgusting after hiking.

Callous- When parts of your skin get very rough, and turn hard. Like dead skin.

e.g. Because I often walk barefoot, my feet have a lot of callouses.

Bare- Without anything on it, the basic form of something.

e.g. I like to walk barefoot because my feet need some air every so often.

Bear- (heixiong) A kind of animal found in north america.

e.g. Bears are very dangerous animals, especially if you meet one in the wild.

Bear- To stand or tolerate something.

e.g. He is so rude that I can’t bear it anymore, I’m breaking up with him.

Essential- Something that is necessary, that you cannot do without.

e.g. Tomorrow’s meeting is essential/mandatory, everyone must attend.

Bare essentials- The most minimum requirements of something.

e.g. Having a fridge and a couch are bare essentials for any apartment.

On Saturday I wake up early and went to Qingpu, it’s a countryside one hour and a half driving. I went there for the food fair. The food fair is about Shanghai holiday festival, there were many kinds of food in the plaza and each booth appeared in the same color which is the theme color for this event. It’s like a competition between homemade food and there were 20 competitors cooked 2 portions/dishes one savory one sweet and then we can vote for them.  I back to home for my dinner, and then sleep early. And Sunday, all day I’m lying on my couch watching tv. And after dinner i went to go have a nail care, I have my salon.
