Elbow – the middle part of your arm, where your arm can bend

eg: She didn’t hit my elbow with her bike, just my arm.

chairlift – the machine to take you to the top of the mountain for skiing

Intense – to a very high degree, very strong

eg: I do some intense training at the gym.

eg: Doing Pilates and going to the gym is a little too intense

Repetition / Reps – each time you lift and put down the weight.

eg: For heavy weight, you should do less reps.

eg: For light weight, you should do more reps.

eg: I just 10 reps on that machine.

Set – when you lift the weight a number of times, then take a break, before doing it again.

eg: I did three sets of push-ups.

eg: On Tuesday and Thursday we do more Cardio sets.

eg: On Monday and Wednesday we more weight lifting sets.

Pyramids – a weight lifting technique, where you do 15 reps, add a little weight, do 15 more reps, ad a little weight, do 15 more reps, then take off a little weight, then do 15 more reps, then take off a little, then do 15 more.

eg: We do something like pyramids. Where we add weight, or do more reps, then take off weight or do less reps.

Today I gotta get to the pilates studio before 8:30.  I have one hour pilates class with my pilates personal trainer. After that I gotta go to a tea show in a traditional Chinese design stdio for about one hour then I gotta go home to take a shower. After shower I gotta go a lunch with a friend  who comes Beijing for a business trip in Shanghai. After lunch I gotta go home again for change my dress to go gym for one hour. Finish gym I gotta to pick my son at the school bus stop. I gotta go home for do homework with him.

After that I gotta go to a tea show in a traditional Chinese design studio for about one hour. Then I gotta go home to take a shower. After showering I gotta go to lunch with a friend who came from Beijing for a business trip in Shanghai. After lunch I gotta go home again to [ change my clothes / change into my gym clothes ] to go to the gym for an hour. After I finish at the gym I gotta to pick my son up at the school bus stop. I gotta go home to do homework with him.
