Vocabulary

eg: You need to hydrate if you go running.

eg: I put on a cream to make it a more even color.

hang out – just spend time with other people, or alone at home, relax and enjoy the time

eg: (Your friend calls and asks what you are doing)   “I’m just hanging out at home and watching tv.”

eg: Where do you hang out at the weekend?

I like to go out skating, so I’m usually riding down the road. Or I will hang out at a park near the bund.

pass the time / kill time –

eg: How do you pass the time on the subway?

I don’t take the subway often.

eg: How do you kill time on a flight?

I kill time by reading kindle on a flight.

competition – bi sai, like a game, where two people or teams try to win

eg: There is a dance competition tomorrow. I heard Vikki is gonna win.

nephew – your brother or sister’s son

eg: My nephew wanted to watch the skate competition.

cafe – any small place that sells drinks or food, and can sit and hang out

eg: We are gonna met at the cafe later.

a task – one part of some work that you need to do

eG: I finished a few tasks for the double 11 prep.

prep – Short for ‘Preparation’

eg: We have to do a lot of prep for next week.

eg: He worked in the kitchen doing prep work. Like cutting vegetables.

eg: I don’t mind doing prep work.
