ingrained – part of the structure and fiber of the material,  : existing for a long time and very difficult to change : firmly established

 eg: Americans really have it ingrained in their minds that sports teams should have the city’s name in it.
jump on the bandwagon – to follow the thing that is popular that everyone is doing
eg: You shouldn’t just jump on the bandwagon, you should think for yourself.
freebie – a free thing or a chance to ignore the rules
eg: England created the Genius rule, to give their teams kind of a freebie to get a player that exceeds the restrictions for foreign players.
propulsion – to propel or move an object forward
eg: Solar sails are still an experimental method of propulsion.
telemetry – any of certain devices or attachments for determining distances by measuring the angle subtending a known distance.
eg: Telemetry is necessary for satellites.
