Vocabulary

scare tactic – a plan used to scare people to get what you want

eg: The U.S. news uses about 98% scare tactics. The other 2% are called “puff pieces.” Because they make you feel warm and comfortable, like a puffy chair or sofa.

Grammar

I extended the time. (You extended it)

I got my time extended. (You didn’t extend it, but someone did)

I got the duration of my courses extended.

I got the duration of my courses extended, from 7 to 10 months.

Pronunciation

Never pronounce one word alone

You can ask:

How do I say(pronounce) that in a phrase?

Example: Thesaurus

eg: How do I say that T word, in a phrase?

It’s pronounced, THHH’ SORE RUS, and in a phrase it’s “I checked the Thesaurus”   “Look it up in your thesaurus”

Tips:

1. Don’t just pronounce FAST. but REDUCE the number of sounds you are pronouncing, or shorten them, and it will naturally become faster.

2. Pronounce ADJ. + N. together

eg: That’s a big dog.   a fat cat.   a rainy day.

in your – Inyurr   In yOOOOR  (overdoing it!)

interpretation – In ter Pruh tay shun

eg: My interpretation of his speech, was very positive.

Shopping Habits:

1. Where do you usually buy your clothes? Online or at the store?

2. Do you always stick to the same brands?

3. Is there a time of year that you do all of your shopping? Or do your just pick stuff up as you like?

I’d love to buy all my clothes in different sales channels, some of them would be shopped online and the other of them, I’d like to go to the stores to buy them. Because I love to buy clothes all the time, so it depends on where I am. So for example today I was go shopping, so If I see some clothes I really like it, I will buy them. and sometimes I’m surfing online, if I see some clothes I really love it, I will buy it. For me brand is not the biggest reasons I will consider it, because I will buy a great deal of a year. Some of my favorite brands, for example including, burberry or chanel or some cheap brands with new stylish clothes. So brands is not the biggest concerning for me to buy clothes.
