She asked me to prepare the visa / she asked me to apply for a visa for her.

She wants to go in Aug / she wants to depart in Aug but applying for a visa in Europe is very hard now for Chinese people. / but now European visas are very hard to get / Too many people apply to Schengen visas and it is very hard to get one.

She lets me to provide a plan for her. -> she asked me to make a plan for her / she demanded that I make a plan for her
I don’t think that should be my job, she just wants to travel it is not for business. / I feel it is not part of my work because it is a personal trip / I feel it doesn’t fall under the scope of my work …

I argued with her and she criticized for my attitude and my skills and my experience and she denied all my contributions  / I voiced my concerns and she got mad and started to blame me for many things.

She would get the french visa by the end of Aug / late Aug
She cannot apply to a French visa because she would only be able to get one late Aug and she wants to leave early Aug / The french visa would take too much time.

So I was very angry but I just had to accept the situation.

Except me they went to the office until 11 or 12pm. -> Recently they have been coming to the office around lunchtime because they feel they are working until way too late.

I had to go to the visa application center at 7am.
I now have no time to do other tasks.
She hasn’t any idea and lets me ask the staff at the visa center

I don’t know how to do the stuff so I told her to let an agency to do it. -> I wasn’t familiar with the process so I advised her to hire an agency / go through an agency.
After I found the agency and I paid for it then she blamed me for the payment.
She thought this payment was not necessary and I could do this by myself.

She is very close to our boss. She was an assistant / she worked as an assistant in the past so she thinks it is very normal.

This doesn’t help me / I won’t learn anything from doing that. / I won’t improve my skills.

Then my manager asked me to apply to the visa and blamed me so I felt very upset.
I took / brought the materials / documents to the application center but I don’t know the result yet. / we are still waiting for the result  / we won’t know the result until mid July

Many people are waiting in line everyday so she asked me to go there very early and I had to get up at 6am.

After Covid many people want to travel to foreign countries.

I have to wait until Nov, then I can get the residence certificate and then I can take the exam.

This exam asks for 4 years work experience -> requires 4 years of work experience.
There are many people who don’t have enough experience and they still take the exam. / many people do not satisfy those conditions but still try

Many people said it isn’t useful but I have no other choice / I have no alternative.

Many young graduates stay several years at home and don’t work.
They take the exam to be a public officers, they don’t want to do repetitive work and want to get a good job right at the beginning.

They were born after 2000  /they are from generation z so their parents are richer / are quite wealthy.

It is very universe / the jobs at this level -> the majority of jobs offer this level of pay.

A few months ago I heard that 2 students who graduated from a famous university in China died. After graduation they went to BJ because they got a good job in a state owned company but they died because they had to live in a very bad apartment because they didn’t have enough money.

If you live in a bad apartment it is often to happen. -> in bad apartments fire often happen / many bad apartments go on fire because safety standards are not respected
Bad apartment usually have a bad electricity system.

Many students come from the countryside. In China the countryside is always poor.

I noticed that some students chose to go back to their hometown, it is still ok.

I think SH is still a nice place for young women. At my age I would have to get married, else people would think I am weird.
Small cities are not easy to live in for the men and women -> it is hard to live in a small city both for men and women

If you want to get married you need to own a house and a car and you need to pay a dowry.
