This week it looks like I’m going to be very busy. Starting with today Monday. At early morning I had a yoga class, for one hour, then, after taking a shower I went with my friends to have a breakfast, usually we do that every Tuesday, but I need to have tomorrow off, since it going to be my face to face yoga class, so everything what I had to do this Tuesday, was cancelled, including afternoon also because I have pending a visit to a gallery where we want to see a photography exposition, so after my relaxing breakfast with my friends I had a Chinese class for an hour and a half, and when I finished, I had my lunch and then I reviewed my English notes because I had my English class at 2:pm. At evening I try to do my homework o part of them but when I saw the moon, I took a few shoots, then I inserted my camera card into my computer and started to see this photos while I having my dinner. It got late and was time to go to bed, but after brushing my teeth.

It got late and (it) was time to go to bed, but (only) after brushing my teeth.

have + past particle

present

simple (I drink a coffee) / continuous  (I am drinking a coffee)/ perfect (I have drunk a coffee)

past

simple ( I drank a coffee) / continuous (I was drinking a coffee)  / perfect ( I had drunk a coffee )

future

simple (I will drink a coffee) /continuous  ( I will be drinking a coffee ) /  perfect ( I will have drunk a coffee)

when you speak in the past you always start in the past simple
then think about if the next thing you say happens before or after the previous one
If it happened before -> past perfect
if it happened after -> past simple (continue to use)

I lived in Japan from 2012 to 2013 (past simple)
before that I had lived in Vietnam from 2011 to 2012 (past perfect)
In 2015 I went to China (past simple)

pending (adj) : awaiting decision / about to happen very soon
My trip is still pending because I don’t know if I can get the visa.

What did you do? -> question in the past
A: What did you do when you were in SH?
B: At that time I was a teacher …

A: What did you do when your heard the plane was delayed?
B: I went to a coffee shop and decided to wait
