I’m not sure whether Berlin is the best city in Germany. But I do think that Berlin is the friendliest city for foreigners in Germany. Maybe because Berlin is the capital city, it attracts thousands of foreigners to come and stay. Compared to other capital cities of Western Europe, Berlin is famous for its low cost of living, cultural diversity and dynamic social atmosphere.

With regard to the cost of living, the official survival rate – Existenzminimum – in Germany is estimated at around EUR 730 per month, which makes Berlin become definitely one of the more affordable capital cities in Europe. In the matter of diversity, no matter where you come from, what you do and where you live, you can always find your own life style here and you will never be alone. The tolerance in German’s culture is something you should experience and will never forget. The famous bar, Berghain, could be a good example. Even though I don’t like it, I do think that it reflects the cherish character of German to tolerant die differences between individuals. People around may not understand your idea about clothing or make up, but they do respect your own choices. Speaking of the dynamic social atmosphere, you may have a clue when you read the news or listen to the broadcast in Berlin. Critism is part of life.
