Time-lapse (n/adj): 1- used to refer to a method of filming very slow actions by taking a series of single pictures over a period of time and then putting them together to show the action happening very quickly.
E.g.: I shot a time-lapse on the Bund last week.
E.g.: A time-lapse video showing the pollution spreading over Beijing went viral on Chinese social media last year.

Rivalry (n): 1-  a situation in which people, businesses, etc. compete with each other for the same thing.
E.g.: There’s such rivalry among/between my three sons.
E.g.: There’s fierce rivalry for the job/to get the job.

Rival (n): 1- a person, group, etc. competing with others for the same thing or in the same area.
E.g.: He beat his closest/nearest rival by 20 points.
E.g.: The companies produce rival versions of the toy.

Control Freak (n): 1- someone who is determined to make things happen in exactly the way they want and who tries to make other people do what they want
E.g.: He is such a control freak! He needs to relax.

Cathedral (n): 1- a very large Christian church.
E.g.: The Strasbourg cathedral is a beautiful example of gothic (哥特) architecture.

Currency (n): 1-  the money that is used in a particular country at a particular time.
E.g.: You should get some local currency at the airport.
