Vocabulary

prescription – written instructions that a doctor writes to get a person to use a medicine

ex. glasses prescription/medical prescription

bystander – someone present at an event but doesn’t take part

ex. Many bystanders were nearby at the scene of the accident.

crops – plants grown on a large scale eg. cereal, fruit and so on

ex. Farmers use tractors to harvest crops.

tablet – a device like an ipad

laptop – portable computer

duet – two people performing together

music battle – to ‘fight’ by competing with others

xylophone – an instrument with many keys that you strike to play

upbeat (for music) – fast and lively

ex. Big Nose prefers upbeat tunes whereas Pink Panther prefers slower tunes.
