Vocabulary

command – to give an order like ‘sit’

ex. The dog trainer taught my dog a few commands.

ear infection – like a disease which is caused by bacteria or a virus

hold sth/him in place – to place in a fixed position

cheeky – slightly rude, but in a funny way

mixed breed – to have one or more different breeds mixed together

breeder – a person who is responsible for producing and selling dogs

Speaking exercise

We take our dog back – much better.

We took/brought our dog back homehe is much better/more well-behaved.
