First of all,advertisements manipulate people to follow the latest trend.It is common that advertisements is cater to customersā€™ will.Whenever a great many people is motivated to buy certain products,the rest is likely to imitate.However,if the intervals between placement and replacement of advertisements became gradually shorter and shorter,it could be possible that a consumer culture in which everyone be tired and exhausted from pursuing the latest trend would be established.
Moreover,companies frequently invite famous stars to endorse their products,which can help build a brand image in consumerā€™s mind that certain product is associated with a high status in society. In this sense,luxury consumption is encouraged.Therefore,it seems that everyone might lose their minds when facing a deluge of advertisements.
Some suggestions which may function in encouraging people to buy local products is as follows.Tariff can be improved to protect local products from competition caused by foreign products.In addition,the price of local products should be lowered to a reasonable level.Comparing with foreign products,it is common knowledge that local products is born with a lower cost in terms of transportation,advertisements,raw materials,etc.As for price sensitive consumers,they tend to buy local products with a cheaper price.Furthermore,advertisements can be aimed at finding an echo with consumers concerning the word ā€localā€.They should be guided to persuade customer to purchase local products since local products is peculiar to local people.
