The chart above shows the number of men and women in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they were studying full-time or part-time.As can be seen from the table，the number of men changes who choose full-time education over three periods,which goes downwards from 1970/71 to 1980/71 and goes upwards from 1980/81 to 1990/91. It is clear from the statistics that the figures regarding 1980/81 is smallest among three periods.By contrast,the number of women rises through three periods,which grows slightly form 1970/71 to 1980/81 and sharply from 1980/81 to 1990/91.Besides,concerning the number of both men and women who choose part-time education,the figure increases,the only difference between which is that the numer of men goes up steadily,while the number of women goes up sharply from 1970/71 to 1980/81 and remains stable from 1980/81 to 1990/91.The chart manisfests that though the full-time education prevail more widely than the part-time education,the number of people who choose part-time education experiences continuous growth during three periods.
