Review today’s class and try to use some of the grammar in a diary.

The sun is just rising in the morning of the another day, I woke up it was 7am, and then I cooked some delicious local breakfast the food name is Jianbing, after that I had read English vocabulary books, when I readed books I have fun, because I could learn more new words and things. In the afternoon I went to yoga class in bula studio, yoga is good for health,we need do more exercise.

Yoga is good for health, and I think we need do more exercise so I think everyone should do yoga. 

i like coffee because it makes me feel good, so today i went to a cafe and it was fun.

Vocabulary

fun – makes you happy / excited
eg. playing guitar is fun / i have fun when i play guitar

funny – makes you laugh
eg. this movie is fun / you are funny / that joke is funny

interesting – makes you think
eg. wow that’s very interesting / this movie is interesting

i’m going to work = wo zai qu gong si = i am going to work
i’m going to go to work = wo hui qu…. = i’m gonna go to work
I‘m going to work = wo hui gong zuo = i’m gonna work

consider – it is my opinion / belief that….
eg. I consider this part of the animal to be food, but you don’t

consider – to be thinking about sth and trying to decide
eg. I am considering whether to buy an iPhone X

Today I have taught 2 students. I had taught 1 student before I taught you.

I have traveled to Japan twice = past, don’t know when.
When did you travel there?
I traveled there last year = past, know when

I have a computer which was expensive / I ate breakfast which was good

I cooked some jianbing for breakfast

past tense – guo qu shi

, – comma = pause, list

. – full stop = end of sentence (idea / subject / point)

Grammar

i walk – no time / often / every day – not specific time
i walked – past – which time is important
i have walked – past – which time is NOT important 
i had walked – past – before another past time.
i am walking – right now
i will walk – future – maybe know the time / maybe don’t know

read / read / have read / am reading / will read
walk / walked / have walked / am walking / will walk

it is hot = weather
it is 5pm = time

and – continues the subject / verb
because – yingwei
so – suoyi
but – dan shi
when – dang / de shi hou
if – ru guo
who – describes a person (he / she / they)
which / that (it) – describes a thing

I went to work +because I want money +but they don’t have money +so I can’t get any money.

It is raining +but I will go to the English class +so I bring my umbrella +because I don’t want to be wet.

I have a friend who is beautiful so I am really happy that we can be friends.

I have a friend who I met last year – don’t need to use “who”

I have a computer that / which was expensive

I know that you are happy / I am happy that you are here = don’t need to use “that”
