Yesterday Lucas and his classmates joined a spelling bee (competition) in Pudong. This is the first time for the spelling bee so he was nervous. He memorized many words every day before the spelling bee. We hoped he would do well but the judge chose many hard new words for them, but Lucas didn’t memorize those new words so he didn’t go to the next round.
