I am writing to you regarding my recent overtime work of 8 hours last Saturday, 10th March. I understand that company policy on the subject of overtime and time in lieu is that it is permitted for employees to use time worked as overtime hours for annual leave.

The annual leave day I would like to take is tomorrow the 14th March, which includes 8 hours of leave time.

Your approval on this would be really appreciated. / It would be greatly appreciated if you could approve this request within today / by COB today / before tomorrow.

Hi Jess,

I just wanted to check with you on taking my time in lieu as annual leave tomorrow. I worked 8 hours of overtime last week and would like to use it to take leave.

My weakness is that I cannot say “No” sometimes. Such as my colleagues need my help when I was very busy in work. Too much work made me tired. But now I am conquering this. I think I finished the most important work is my primary thing, after that I can help others better.

I have nearly 13 years working experience in marketing fields and related operation. In my first job, I worked as advertising agency staff to help our client to do the marketing works in consumer goods industry. Planning how to make a roadshow more attractive to the people in the shopping mall is my primary work. After my first two years’ job, I worked in a exhibition company. I worked in marketing dept. four years and been an operation manager four years. In the nearly nine years in this company, I learned not only the knowledge of business, but also the knowledge of management. And now I am working in a legal research company as the head of Shanghai marketing department. My responsibility is lead my team to brand our products and assist our sales team to have more chances to reach target customers so that they could complete the target revenue. As I introduced, both of my job experiences and the legal knowledge made me more prepared for my present job. Because I am rich in various experience in marketing fields. Including direct marketing, customer relationship management, partner cooperation and so on. I think I can play a helpful role in the company and dedicate to business growth.
