Vocabulary

Penthouse- The apartment or hotel room that is on the top floor.

e.g. For my 25th birthday, I rented the penthouse suite at the Shangri-la hotel. 5 years later, I’m still paying for it.

Suite- has two meanings, one is a type of hotel room, usually the more expensive one, higher than the standard hotel room. The other meaning is about software, suite refers to the entire collection of programs

e.g. I booked the penthouse suite or the presidential suite.

e.g. Office 365 is Microsoft’s Suite; it offers multiple programs for the price of one.

Censorship/To Censor- When a group or person makes a decision to remove something from public view.

e.g. News of the trade war with America has been censored online.

Pixel- the tiny squares that make up an image.

Pornography/Pornographic Material- Any kind of images or videos that have to do with sex.

e.g. In America, if you distribute child pornography online, you will be arrested by the FBI.

Hate Speech- When you speak about certain things that go against someone’s race or religion.

e.g. In the United States, hate speech will get you arrested most times, especially if it threatens a person’s safety.

White Supremacists-  White people who think that whites are the supreme race of the world.

e.g. White supremacists supported Donald Trump during the election.
