Grammar
When we want to ask about how other people or another person is doing at that moment:
What are you doing? I’m learning English now.
What is she doing? She’s studying .
What is he doing? He’s playing games.
What are they doing? They are watching TV.
What are you doing ? We are working.
Pronunciation
If we have “u” in the middle of a short word and there is an “e” at the end, there will be 2 different pronunciation for the words:
1. Can be pronounced as “oo”:
Flute
June
2. Can be pronounced as “iu”:
Cube
Tube
***** Please note that on my method I don’t recommend reading the rules but I do recommend practicing more similar words so that brain automatically understand the concept of the pronunciation.
Speaking exercise
Practiced a conversation in a situation when we go to a party:
*When guests arrive:
Host: Welcome to the Party. Come in. Everyone’s in the living room.
Guest: This is for you.( this refers to a gift)
Host:Thank you.
* When guests are leaving:
Guest: Thank you for having me.
Host: You’re welcome.
Guest: See you soon Ellie.
Host:Bye
