“What is our core competitiveness, in your opinion?”
IMO, global teamwork is our core competitiveness. For example, if SH office signs a new project, the entire global team would be involved, including our Bangkok studios and even our HQ, which means we can have different insights and design direction and we are not limited to the local scope. From our client’s perspective, they would often appreciate our international view on marketing and design. I think this is quite competitive compared to other design studios.

“Who is our major competition?”
BMW design studio. I think we have 5 or 6 competitors in China market, maybe more, but those are the major ones. Last year, we joined a bidding for a project, there were 4 design companies joining that bidding, including … … I think every design studio has their strengths and specialties. For example, BMW design studio is good at designing cars ..

“Areas of improvement?”
It’s a very tricky question. Yeah we have some trivial issues, but they’re not that important in the big picture. Perhaps we can have some more team-building activities and outings because at the moment, we very rarely do these activities. Because I think these activities would help us become a more cohesive and more efficient team. *think more on this Q, about the business part

“What do you think about the future of our company?”
This is a very big question for anyone from one department to answer. I just have a very general thought… In the past/20 years ago/In the old days, China was/had been considered a country that imitates others, in brand, design … We didn’t have any internationally well-known brands, and our local brands lack creativity and originality. For example, Starbucks is very well-known all over the world… They have their brand, and their company vision. Of course, their products are very unique, and they also have a very strong brand image and culture. Nowadays a lot of Chinese enterprises are aware of this. They want to build up their own brand, not just the products but their brand concept and philosophy. They want to raise their brand awareness not only in China, but also overseas. So they value the design of the products more and more. I think that’s why we are here. We can support these needs and help them grow, to make them more competitive internationally. That’s the future picture of our company, IMO.
