VIP Class Notes 9th May (Jesse) [W]

I hope to build a dream house in my hometown for my parents and me. My hometown is in a small village near the river in Shandong province. My parents’s house have 400 squares and I want to rebuild it. It’s a traditional courtyard and I want to keep this style, but I will do a little change base on this style. I have been doing the design work and there is a view in my mind. I hope this house can have 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and 6 fireplaces. For saving money, I will use the old roof tiles. In my design, I will have a garage near the gate and I will have a big yard inside the house. In the yard, I will plant my favorite grape trees on the yard. I have been to Iran and their design give me many inspiration. Their country is very dry but beside the road are ditches with water. In my hometown this is common because we need to use ditch diverted water into fields. I never think this is popular in a city. So I feel more familiar and I will design a ditch in my yard. I also design a small shed for our dog. There are four big fruit trees in our yard now and I will keep them. So I will make some flowerbeds for them. It’s a exciting thing to make something that you really want.
