I’m living in an apartment complex which is so big. It’s very old, I mean the buildings are really old. I live on the 6th floor which is the top of the building. We moved-in in september last year because we wanted a place which is near my son’s kindergarten. I don’t like it because it has no lift / elevator so I have to walk up and down the stairs which I hate to do because my right foot has a nerve problem.

Yeah it’s far away from here and it takes 30 minutes on the subway. What about you? Where do you live?
I live in JingAn actually, quite close to here. Do you go there often?
Oh JingAn… not really, but I know JingAn is really crowded but cool and fashionable… and I think most people like to go there for the restaurants and bars (lively). So maybe you can go there and have a look around. You might like it.

what are you planning to do for labor day?
our bar will close on labor day… my mates and I maybe we will go to huanglegu in songjiang… do you know where that is?

it’s a place for fun and is really good for kids and there are a lot of people who go there to play and enjoy themselves. It is similar to disneyland, and has a lot of big machines that are like trains. have you ever been to a place like this?

Yep actually I went to Tokyo Disney Land a few years ago and it was awesome. We spent the whole day there and went on some of the rollercoasters and rides. What’s the scariest ride you’ve ever been on?

No I don’t find those things scary at all, what about you?

have you been to disneyland in shanghai?
no but my wife and baby did go there… and they liked it very much especially my baby… he took photos with princess Elsa from Frozen which made him really excited and every time he hears the Let It Go song he gets really happy. what about you, what’s your plan for labor day?

Yeah not much really actually I’m probably going to work on Sunday and then Monday I’ll just relax and spend some time with Judy… I’m not really into going to amusement parks and stuff especially these days because I’m too busy so I just want to relax. Do you often go to those kinds of places?

No, because I don’t have much time either but I just go there with my family when they want to.

Fair enough… and how about you lately? How’re things at work? Busy?
Business is getting a little busy because the weather is getting warmer and we don’t have enough staff so I have to work long hours every day which I hate but I have to do. Do you think long hours are bad or are you ok with it?

Uhh yeah I’m ok with it if I enjoy my work but I think the problem is when you don’t particularly enjoy it or you have a stressful job… then it’s really tiring and stressful… How often do you have to work long hours? Every week?

Yeah I have 3 or 4 days every week that I have to work long hours… which I don’t like because I don’t have much time for exercise and reviewing my English classes. How about your work recently? Has it been alright?
