Vocabulary

charge(v.) for it

freemium – free/premium games, free to play, but you can purchase upgrades with real money.

eg: Most mobile games utilize the ‘freemium’, business model.

take charge – to put yourself in charge, as the leader

eg: They noticed he really took charge when it was busy, so they made him manager.

DLC – downloadable content, usually expansion pack or upgrade to the game

eg: They always charge you to download the extra maps as DLC.

cracked – bypass the serial number required to play the game

eg: Some cracked games are even playable online.

Adobe – software company, and an ancient mud material native americans used to make homes

eg: Adobe owns Photoshop, the most common photo editor.

drone – remote controlled helicopter or plane

eg: My camera was on the drone when it fell in the water.

propel V. propulsion N. – to move sth forward

eg: A rocket pack is a dangerous kind of propulsion.

turbine – an engine that has a part with blades that are caused to spin by pressure from water, steam, or air

eg: Jets are operated by turbines.

maniac – a person who behaves in a very wild way, very enthusiastic about sth.

eg: My friend is a maniac, he was hanging out of the car window when we were going 100 mph.
