OpenF2F Class Notes (Tony)

We’ve had more lessons than last month, so we’ve been talking about new topics. Jerome’s continued practice of repeating phrases to improve his memorization is showing some good results. His focus on verb usage and determination to use the correct tense exemplifies the kind of study habits it takes to learn a language in such a short time. Perhaps it would be easier for him to concentrate on grammar in class if he can study by himself a bit more, in order to be more prepared for the class. His enthusiasm is obvious during class, but his lack of preparation hinders that.

hinder – opposite of help, to slow down or hurt the progress

Celine has a good spanish base and that helps a lot in our lessons. We only can take class once a month and that is why is difficult to improve faster and keep new concepts.
Unfortunately she doesn’t have free time to invest in spanish lessons often therefore she should practice more speaking, reading or watching spanish movies between classes.
