I remembered one person who was my past colleague, we had ever worked for the same company. Then she went to a new company. When she just joined the new company, her boss appreciated and trust her. After worked with her boss for a few months, her bossed recommended her to manage the purchasing department. The first two years of being worked for this company was the peak of her career. Recently she often made mistakes on work, her boss was very unsatisfied for her. Her boss considered that she needed to learn her more and revoked her duties on purchasing department

I remembered one/my former colleague, we worked together for about 1 year. Then she went to a new company. When she just joined the new company, her boss appreciated and trusted her. After she worked with her boss for a few months, her boss recommended her to manage the purchasing department. The first two years of working for this company was the peak of her career. Recently she often made mistakes at work, her boss was very unsatisfied with her. Her boss considered that she needed to get/gain more experience and demoted/revoked her duties as the purchasing department manager.

demote / demoting / demoted / will demote v. – to drop down in position

That sucks.

In the first period it was good news for her.

At the beginning / At first…..
