Vocabulary

Job description – the part on an application the describes the position

Ex. Being a customer service representative is only one part of my job description.

Plural – more than one (the opposite of plural is singular)

Ex. The plural form of “kid” is “kids.”

Grammar

The word “behavior” is never plural, we cannot say “behaviors.”

Phrases

To go on vacation – to go on a trip

Action speaks louder than words – don’t talk about doing something, just do it/show me, don’t tell me

Pronunciation

Luxury (LUG-juh-ree)

Machine (muh-SHEEN)

Mainly (“AI” as in “rain”)

Technician (teck-NIH-shin)

Reason (REE-zin, make sure it doesn’t sound like “region”)

I fake a story using the words which I learned during these days.

I went on a vacation with my daughter to Japan on Dragon Boat festival. And I told my daughter that our behaviors were the ambassador of our country, so we should pay attention to our words and deeds. Before leaving, I had wrote down the travel plan onto a spreadsheet and I delegated an important task to my daughter who needed to take care of her bag. We took the maglev to the airport with our travel outfits. We got off the maglev, then went straight and took the overpass to get to the airport. The plane we took was small and the capacity of the plane only had fifty persons. In this small space, my daughter often hassled me to watch cartoons. In the first class seats, I saw Yao Ming who was our Chinese legend at basketball and he was the ambassador of Beijing applied Winter Olympic in 2022.
