slight – snight

ex: I have a slight cold.

ex: I have a slight headache.

sleep / slept

ex: I sleep very well.

ex: I went to sleep very early last night.

ex: The dog slept by the front door all day.

slap / slapped

ex: I slapped the desk.

ex: She slaps my shoulder.

slip / slipped

ex: She slipped on the ice.

ex: It was raining, the car slips on the road.

ex: I just need to slip on my dress.

I went to the gym. – I went to the GM office.

I usually go to the gym to play basketball and badminton.

Today I went to GM on a business trip.I feel very bad because I have a slight cold,so I am always in the clouds all day and I wanted to finish the trip ,but as usual,I have done my work.
Then I came here to study English by subway which is No. 2. When I arrived ,Jesse has not be there,so I waited him to come.And for a while,Jesse arrives .

Today I went to GM on a business trip. I feel very bad because I have a slight cold, so I was in the clouds all day and I wanted to finish the trip, but as usual, I have to do my work.
Then I took the subway on line 2, to come here to study English. When I arrived, Jesse was not here, so I waited for him (for a while) to come. After a while, Jesse arrived.

i rode (bike) 

my head is in the clouds = i am not able to focus

I have done my work = i have finished
i have to do my work = i must do my work

wait for sb
