Weibo has become more of a news outlet.

Weibo has become a news outlet.

This is a bit of a problem.

I am in a bit of trouble.

This problem could have been solved easily with a GPS and a few drones.

Vanity beats against privacy

More and more people travel abroad in their vacations, especially in October, when we can have 7 days holiday. People travel all of the world and at the same time, they post pictures and update their days on travel on social media.

By the very nature, I think it is because of vanity. People show off where they went, what they ate and what they bought to everyone they know on social media, blow their own trumpet. I was annoyed by checking others’ life, which really took a lot of time everyday, so I decidedly to close my Wechat moments. I don’t need to check anyone’s updating unless I want to.

On the other hand, they overlook the privacy problem. Now everyone knows what you did, where you got, who you met with. However, they don’t think it will be a problem until something happen to them. Vanity beats against privacy, which is the status quo of Chinese. Hope we could have privacy conscious as soon as possible.

Vanity beats against privacy

More and more people travel abroad on their vacations, especially in October, when we can have 7 days holiday. People travel all over the world and at the same time they post pictures and update their daily travel experiences on social media.

Basically, I think it is because of vanity at its core. People blow their own trumpet and show off where they went, what they ate and what they bought to everyone they know on social media. I was annoyed by checking others’ life, which really used to take a lot of time everyday, so I decided to close my Wechat moment notifications. Now, I don’t need to check anyone’s updates unless I want to.

On the other hand, many people overlook the privacy problem. Now everyone knows what you did, where you got, who you met with. However, many don’t think it will be a problem until something happens to them. Vanity beats against privacy, which seems to be the status quo of the Chinese. I hope we could develop a sense of privacy as soon as possible.
