Rice Dumplings: zongzi

Egg yolk:  the yellow part of the egg.  

 

Shape:  the look of something.  (square, circle, rectangle)

Filling:  the food you put inside of sth (dumpling)

Spaghetti:  long Italian noodles.

Penne (pen – ay):  Italian noodles that are short with a hole in them.

Angel’s hair noodle:  similar to dragon beard noodles.  (spaghetti but thinner)

“it will stick to your ribs”:  to describe food that is really heavy and sticks in your stomach.
