In certain areas people get dragon boat play – in certain areas people compete in dragon boat races

 

Raisins: dried grapes.

Eg.  I like raisins in rice dumplings.

How style meat do you like – what kind of meat do you like?

 

Pork:

  • Bacon: thinly sliced and delicious pork.  (streaky pork)
  • Pork belly
  • Pork knuckle
  • Pork loin
  • Pork shoulder

I will go home to visit my family in this dragon boat festival. This festival is on May 5th of lunar calendar every year. We will make rice dumplings with different styles of food, like meat, eggs, dates and raisins. My favorite style is bacon rice dumplings and we also will boil duck eggs to eat . This festival is for remembering a poet who has already dead long time ago. There is a fun game in this festival which is dragon boat races, we will compete dragon boat races with others if we have a change.
