Vocabulary

Fully booked / Booked up: 1- (of a schedule / hotel / activity) with no more available slots for booking.
E.g.: I wanted to have a class yesterday, but all teachers were fully booked.

Emphasize (v): 1- to show that something is very important or worth giving attention to. (n: Emphasis)
E.g.: I’d just like to emphasize how important it is for people to learn foreign languages.

Persuade (v): 1- to make someone do or believe something by giving them a good reason to do it or by talking to that person and making them believe it:
E.g.: If she doesn’t want to go, nothing you can say will persuade her.

Convince (v): 1- to persuade someone or make someone certain of something.
E.g.: He managed to convince the jury of his innocence.

Used to: done or experienced in the past, but no longer done or experienced:
E.g.: I used to eat meat, but now I’m a vegetarian.
E.g.: I used to have dinner at 6PM.

(to be) used to (doing) something: 1- familiar with a condition or activity.
E.g.: We were used to a cold climate, so the weather didn’t bother us.
E.g.: I am used to having dinner at 6PM.
