Vocabulary

Tangerine (n): 1- a small, sweet fruit that is like an orange with a loose skin which is easy to remove. 2- 柑橘
E.g.: Tangerine is one of my favorite fruits.

Cucumber (n): 1- a long usually green-skinned vegetable that is used in salads and for making pickles.  2- 黄瓜
E.g.: I ate a cucumber and tomato salad for lunch.

Pickle (n): an article of food that has been preserved in brine or in vinegar; specifically :  a cucumber that has been so preserved
E.g.: I don’t like pickles in my McDonalds burger.

Pickled (adj): 1- preserved with salt water or vinegar
E.g.: I love sweet picked tangerines.

Preserve(v): 1- to keep (something) in its original state or in good condition
E.g.: The building was really well preserved.
